MBA621 Healthcare Systems This subject provides students or professionals seeking or occupying health care management positions with an opportunity to analyse and compare the Australian healthcare programs delivered by both government and non-government providers. Students will develop an understanding of the micro-environmental and macro-environmental influences that impact on the equitable and efficient delivery of healthcare. These include the development and implementation of preventative programs to improve health and the identification of vulnerable populations which include economically disadvantaged individuals and families, racial and ethnic minorities, the uninsured, the elderly, the homeless, the immunocompromised, and those with other chronic health conditions including severe mental illness.
