MBA663 Communication, Persuasion and Influence This subject provides students with a range of professional communication techniques that will equip them for the demands of face-to-face and virtual leadership. Special attention is given to effective persuasion and influence as key leadership skills for women in business. The subject also introduces a range of social skills as the key to successful communication. Students will be challenged to analyse their own personal attributes as a form of gendered social capital that can be leveraged to ‘manage upwards’ for leadership success. The subject challenges students to interrogate social and structural barriers to success in the workplace.
