This subject conveys the knowledge and skills required to understand a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS). Students are taught about database tables via the use of Entity Relationship Models (ERM), Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Management Language (DML) constructs and queries. Students are additionally taught how to read and write data from and to tables using Structured Query Language (SQL). Other RDBMS-related concepts such as Data Normalisation and Security are also addressed.
