Overview
The Graduate Certificate in Accounting provides an understanding of the framework and fundamental principles of the accounting profession. The course offers an opportunity to develop the basic statistical and numerical literacy skills required for data analysis in economics and business management.

Course Learning Outcomes
Students enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Accounting at Kaplan Business School will learn how to:
- Apply appropriate professional and analytical skills to address specific accounting and business issues and challenges
- Incorporate key accounting principles and statistical skills in real-world business situations
- Evaluate corporate governance practices in Australian organisations
- Prepare a range of financial statements used in the accounting cycle

Recognition of prior learning (RPL)
Students may be eligible for credit for academic work previously completed and should apply to the School for this to be recognised as an exemption from individual subjects of study.

The course is ideal if you have a qualification in a non-accounting discipline and wish to gain additional skills in accounting and finance. The skills developed will assist you to gain employment in accounting within private and public organisations, nationally and internationally.
Upon successful completion, you may be eligible for full credit towards our Master of Accounting and Master of Professional Accounting courses, or another course with an alternative higher education provider in Australia.

We will notify you after receiving your application whether you have been accepted or not. If accepted, you will receive an Offer of Admission to study.STEP 4

- Submit the evidence required to meet the condition(s) outlined in the Offer (if applicable)
- Carefully read your offer including Terms and Conditions
