Kaplan Business School offers a range of academic support services to students. Our teaching staff are available to provide you with personalised assistance beyond your standard weekly classes to clarify complex concepts and to further enrich your learning.
ACADEMIC SUCCESS CENTRE
The Academic Success Centre is a free academic support service available to all KBS students. Our qualified Learning Advisors can support you academically through assessment planning, feedback, study skills and English-language skills. KBS Learning Advisors conduct workshops every trimester on a range of critical academic skills and can help with the following:
- Online research
- Paraphrasing
- Note-taking
- Referencing
- English grammar
- Essay and report writing
- Presentation Delivery
- Understanding assessment requirements and proofreading before submission

ENGLISH LANGUAGE SUPPORT
You can get English Language support tailored to your needs with our interactive suite of Self-Study Models. The modules are designed around real-life situations that you will experience while studying in Australia and cover a wide range of:
- Language skills (vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, writing)
- Academic skills (formal and informal writing, writing emails, understanding phrases related to studying in Australia, critical thinking and data analysis)
- Life skills (finding a place to live, using public transport, resolving problems with your roommates, applying for a job)

The online Library provides a range of services and support to help you succeed, as well as providing access to high quality research and information resources to use in your studies. You and get support anywhere, anytime by exploring the self-help tools and videos that develop your academic research skills.
Our friendly librarians are available online to help you find information and how to use the Library and other research activities. They run regular workshops that help students to:
- Access key resources necessary for research and assessments
- Use the Kaplan’s Library catalogue
- Discover the why, when and how of referencing the Kaplan way
