Overview
The Graduate Certificate in Information Technology will give students who want to specialise in IT the opportunity to develop foundational IT skills and gain knowledge in advanced computing subject areas such as programming and database design and management. You will learn how to apply technology-based approaches and solutions across various industries including IT, communications, management and business.

Course Learning Outcomes
Students enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Information Technology at Kaplan Business School will learn how to:
- Investigate business opportunities by applying a range of technological and programming concepts and tools
- Persuade stakeholders on solutions and outcomes for complex technological problems
- Demonstrate use of sound judgement to formulate, advise and implement business solutions via the aid of technology-based approaches
- Create solutions for complex business problems by adopting an exploratory, technical and global mindset
- Evaluate ethical, privacy and information security issues regarding technology

Recognition of prior learning (RPL)
Students may be eligible for credit for academic work previously completed and should apply to the School for this to be recognised as an exemption from individual subjects of study.

The course is designed so that students are eligible for up to four subject credits into recognised postgraduate courses in Australia that specialise in Information Technology or that have space for unspecified electives.

STEP 3
We will notify you after receiving your application whether you have been accepted or not. If accepted, you will receive an Offer of Admission to study.STEP 4
To proceed with your enrolment, you will need to sign and return the Acceptance of Offer form and pay the fees as specified in the Offer of Admission.STEP 5
Once you receive your electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) from us you can proceed to apply for an Australian student visa.STEP 1
