NEW: Master of Business Analytics (Information Technology)

Kaplan Business School is excited to announce the launch of the only Master of Business Analytics (Information Technology) course (CRICOS Course Code: 116554B) in Australia with classes commencing on 6 November 2024 (Trimester 3) at all KBS campuses across Australia’s six capital cities. Applications are now open.

This new degree has been developed in response to the high demand for workers whose Business Analytics acumen is complemented by essential skills in Information Technology, as per the “new approach” advocated by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) in the latest Digital Pulse report.

The joint analysis by the ACS and Deloitte further affirms that “at a minimum, Australia needs 445,000 more technology skilled workers” by 2030. It is this gap that the Master of Business Analytics (Information Technology) has been designed to address.

As the only program of its kind in the Australian market, this new degree is registered under the Information Technology Broad Field of Education.

“Feedback from our student community has revealed that some Business Analytics students would like to have the opportunity to enrol in more technical subjects, but they find that IT courses are too technical for their needs,” says Mr Steve Knussen, the Executive Director of Kaplan Business School. “Our new Master of Business Analytics (Information Technology) therefore offers a perfect balance between applied business analytics and more technical IT skills.”

Upon graduation, students will not only qualify for a wide range of industry roles in Business Analytics but also careers in IT-related fields such as Cyber Security and Programming. As the course also includes electives from a diverse set of MBA subjects, students will gain a holistic qualification equipped with business acumen and essential transferable skills.
